Fees and payment options
Dental costs vary between people, which is why every treatment starts with an itemised written quote and nothing gets done that you haven't agreed to first. To help you plan, we also publish a fee guide for our common treatments, with item numbers so you can check your health fund rebate before you visit. You can have it emailed to you below.
How we quote
After an examination you get a written plan setting out what's needed, what each item costs, and what's urgent versus what can reasonably wait. It's itemised, so you can see what you're paying for rather than a single figure at the bottom. If there's more than one way to treat something, the quote shows the alternatives and what each would cost — including the cheaper option, and the option of leaving it for now. You take it away and think about it. A quote isn't a commitment and it doesn't expire the moment you walk out.

Get our fee guide
Our fee guide lists the fees for check-ups, fillings, root canals, extractions, crowns, implants, dentures, whitening, veneers and orthodontics, each with its item number. Enter your email and we'll send it to you as a PDF straight away. The fees are a guide: your exact cost depends on your teeth, and you'll always have a written, itemised quote before anything begins.
Health funds and HICAPS
We claim through HICAPS, which means your rebate is processed at the counter the moment treatment is finished and you only pay the difference. No forms, no waiting for a cheque. We're not contracted to any particular fund, so you can use whichever cover you have — though what comes back depends on your level of cover, which items your policy includes, and how much of your annual limit is left. If you want to know before committing to a larger treatment, the item numbers are in our fee guide and on your quote, so you can ring your fund and check exactly what they'll pay.
No surprises at the counter
The figure you agreed to is the figure you pay. If something changes partway through a treatment plan — and occasionally it does, because a tooth turns out to be in worse shape than the X-ray suggested — we stop, explain what's changed, and requote before going further. Finding out at the desk that the cost has moved is not something that should happen, and it's not how we work.
Health fund rebates
Claimed through HICAPS at the counter — you pay the gap only.
Payment options and plans
Afterpay, humm, National Dental Plan and DentiCare.
Free check-ups for under 18s
Examination, clean, fluoride and X-rays at no out-of-pocket cost, every visit until they turn 18. Treatment quoted separately. Where a child is eligible for CDBS we claim through it, which uses part of their two-year benefit. More about our children's dentistry.
Itemised written quotes
Before anything is booked, every time.
Published fee guide
Our fees for common treatments, with item numbers, emailed to you from this page.
No obligation
A quote is information, not a commitment.
01
You get a written quote
Itemised, after an examination, with the alternatives and what each would cost. Nothing is booked at this point.
02
You decide, in your own time
Take it home. Ring your health fund with the item numbers if you want to check what they'll cover. Come back with questions.
03
We claim on the day
Treatment is done, and your health fund rebate goes through HICAPS at the counter straight away.
04
You pay the gap
The difference between the fee and your rebate. If you'd rather spread it, that's what the payment plans are for — ask before treatment rather than after.
